It's all crickets on social media from the gay republicans who said this wasn't going to happen. :ladyhaha:

I hope they paint a pedestrian crossing in rainbow colours to really hammer that message home! Underground rebels rise!

I have no words.

Why the fuсk are they so obsessed with what other people do with their lives? It's like me getting mad at someone for eating a doughnut because I'M on a diet. Like see how stupid that is????

Hate, just because of it. Despiteful people hiding behind Christ. Cowards. I can’t wait for Him to come back and burn all these hypocrites. Even if homosexuality is a sin (which is debatable since the context of the Bible is a lot different than the romantic homosexual relationships that exists nowadays) a lot of other things are actual sins but I don’t see them worriyng. I believe any kind of pride is the real sin, cause it doesn’t let people repent. I am a homosexual and I’ll continue to be till God wants me too. Now, I can’t be another way.

Hey, just remember as recently as 2020 we could legally be fired for being gay.

Hell, before 2003 (I think) just having sex with someone of the same sex was illegal.

In the 1970s we were deemed mentally ill and subjected to horrifying "treatments".

We're in a rough spot but the world is much better than it used to be and progress is undeniable. As long as we stay strong, this little step backwards will just be a speedbump in history, nothing more.

Amen

Focus on banning heterosexual divorce first.

The Bible mentions rules for divorce in various parts. A woman becomes an adulterer if a hetero divorce occurs, unless the husband dies.

If you as a church want to make rules, make them apply to YOUR OWN community. Worry about YOUR OWN congregation and let others who are not part of your church live their lives with their own freedom.

There is always a sense of projection when these organizations try and target segmented groups.

I don’t speak out much, my opinions on things i typically keep to myself,

but this is not only un-American, its simply control freak behavior.

This is the reason their religion has so much resistance and mockery in the press. And this is coming from a son of a pastor of this church, and an entire family that follows this specific branch of Christians (not including myself, i don't do organized religion)

This is one of those things that yes, i agree that everyone is entitled to their own opinions on it or whatever ( if you don't believe in it, then don't partake in it ) but actively voting to force the rest of the country to abide by your personal moral compass is absolutely ridiculous and ANTI democracy. I am so sick of Christians using god as a weapon and a control method. Its a personal attack and should be treated as such.

The Southern Baptist denomination was founded in 1845 for the purpose of supporting slavery. Really. Of course they've since repudiated that, but they remain a bastion of bigotry.

"In 1995 the SBC apologized to African Americans for its racism and in particular its stance on slavery."

It's wild it took until 1995 but at least they came to terms with it.
