Only the gays could turn "Major celebrity touring act donates tickets to foodbanks" into a diss.

Like all that does is reinforce the notion that using a foodbank and being in poverty in the UK is shameful. And I'm so over it.

the only thing I would like to say is that it does feel like a really random thing to do. If she auctioned the tickets off to then donate money to foodbanks or food to foodbanks, it would be one thing... But if I was starving and trying to get a loaf of bread, the last thing on my mind would probably be about attending a Beyoncé concert in the rain where I have to find a way to travel all the way out to Tottenham and back. It feels slightly out of touch to me?

Artists are gender neutral, as far as I'm concerned.

Yes and no, the standards to which women in the industry are held are totally not the same as men. For example: Beyoncé is being dragged all over the internet for not commenting on P Diddy, a guy she barely even knows and has never collaborated with. Meanwhile, Morgan Wallen said the n-word on camera (among other trespasses) and somehow is rewarded with being the #1 album in the US for several weeks in a row.

Women are expected to sing, dance, write and produce their own material while also being unrealistically thin and beautiful and people doubt them at every turn and take credit for their writing, and also expected to be both sexy but also asexual and uncontroversial and perfectly poised and gracious. Men are just expected to show up, preferably sober, but it's not a requirement.

On one hand, women are expected to take accountability and responsibility for the actions of men they barely know. On the other, men are expected to be men and say sh*t and that's ok. There are double standards and the fanbases are also guilty of that.

You literally hear all these stories of men suddenly being cancelled for SA people – but Katy Perry got cancelled for travelling to space and working with a guy who had been accused of SA, even though she herself was not guilty of assaulting anyone. Men have to literally commit crimes to be cancelled, and even then, it takes years and they always bounce back (see: Doctor Luke still being able to find work). There is still a huge double standard in our society.

im confused why beyonce thinks anyone wants to hear country from her

i want pop and r&b

I'm confused why you think beyoncé cares about what you want from her? She's a billionaire. She's doing whatever the f*** she wants, whether you like it or not, because she can now. :ally: As she should.

I'm sorry but this is poetic justice after the beyhive spread fake rumors about the mexico 98% sold out and that narrative that the singapore shows being "empty" even though the concert layout is the same for all concerts and the shows were 100% sold out.

Ah, yes, the good old "blame an artist for her fans" trope. And then you'll get all angry when people to start revelling in Gaga's misfortunes the next time she has one, because of how toxic the monster community is, and they'll say "it serves her right for her toxic fans always dissing other female artists". :laughga: Are you for real? :messga: Beyoncé is not her fans, Gaga is not her fans. These artists create works that bring joy to people and that is such a beautiful gift. Let's let them do what they are here to do and support them, perhaps?

I'm sure you'll be here to remind everyone. :vegas:

And I didn't blame anyone, it's just funny how bey is tanking and gaga is selling out everything with the discourse I see online from the beyhive, don't get pressed cause it isn't that serious.:ladyhaha:

She's married to Jay Z and they have shared assets at this point which combined means they are a billionaire couple. :triggered:  Her net worth is estimated at 780mn and Jay'z at 2.5 bn so combined they're on 3.28bn. And at that stage when you have that much money it just keeps growing exponentially because you pay people to invest it smartly.

you literally said it was "justice", as if she deserved it, for the behaviour of her fans. :enigma: You're also comparing arena capacity with Stadium Capacity. Gaga is doing 4 shows in London at the O2. That's 80,000 seats at full capacity. Beyoncé is doing 6 stadium shows in London at 62,850 seats/night. That's 377,100 seats at full capacity. Comparing the sales rate of one to the other is completely irrelevant since the touring architecture is totally different (different album genres, different venue sizes, different touring cities where Gaga is going global whereas Beyoncé is only doing a residency tour with only 9 venues, etc.) :triggered:

I don’t know how many times I’ve seen this tired topic come on here about a Black woman, but it’s giving obsession and joblessness.

Poetic justice is not blaming anyone, the beyhive just needs to learn manners and stop being vicious to gaga online.

I find these news really satisfying after the blatant lies they spread on twitter about Mexico and Singapore attendances, nevermind, it's really poetic justice. :vegas:

And I don't doubt that gaga could pull much more attendance that beyonce tbh, she's a much more global artist.

Roughhouse Dandy

Any excuse to shade successful Black women on here and the flimsiest tabloid article is fair game as long as it's negative towards Beyoncé. Some of y'all need to look inward.

Every time Beyonce gets read/dragged a lot of yall love claiming misogyny and racism, when most of those doing the reading/dragging are fans of female artists and POC artists, like can we please stop diluting the meaning of misogyny and racism when it really does not apply? Someone not liking Beyonce doesn’t make them racist or sexist (I know that some absolutely are, not saying it doesn’t exist, but let’s be fr lol

but anyway, yall should know by now to NOT trust The Sun, ever lol they’re always full of sh*t

I find these news really satisfying

I could have tried to clap back or respond to everything else but reading this just made me feel so incredibly sad for you that I just wanted to send you some positive vibes and wish for you to find more fulfilling things in your life to satisfy you. :kara: It says a lot that you have such a void in your existence that it needs to be filled by having glee at other people's misfortunes, and I sincerely hope for you that you find the peace that will allow you to grow and move past that someday. Stay strong. :kara:
