Male breast cancer accounts for less than 1% of all cases.  It’s ok to say that women worry more about this.  Everything doesn’t have to be inclusive.  Lol

It's a bigger worry for women as the chances of getting it are much, much higher. Wishing Jessie well.

Nobody said otherwise, and while men can get breast cancer most men aren't exactly going to have that hanging over their heads the same way that many, many more women will. Not to mention the mammograms. I hope Jessie will be fine. Like a poem said by a neydy in red

Besides men have the “equivalent” worry with prostrate cancer. At least biology went 50/50 and gave one to each OP: I’m glad they caught it early and hope she recovers quickly. They do, though it's a much smaller percentage; however, by the time it's found in cisgender men, it's usually very advanced. I'm not sure if cisgender men regularly undergo breast cancer screenings. For trans men, I suppose it depends on what surgeries the person may have undergone, but obviously trans men can get breast cancer too. I'm not sure what statistics are like for trans women. For cisgender women who are high risk or above 40, every year we hold our breaths as we go in for our mammograms, hoping everything will be okay, then we wait, wait, and wait for hopefully good results. Sometimes we get a call for additional imaging and spend weeks fearing the worst. Same when we go to our gynecologists for our annuals and they perform a breast exam, or when we do our own breast exams and feel something off - is it a lump, or just normal tissue? Some of us are prescribed medications that can increase the risk of breast cancer and have to weigh our risks of whether it's worth it. Some of us have people in our family we've lost to breast cancer and wonder when and if it's coming for us. I don't know if cisgender men have yearly mammograms or such worries. Maybe some do. Anyway, I never said men don't get breast cancer, but rather that it's something that cisgender women live in fear of. Maybe men have this fear too; I'm not qualified to make such a statement. She/Her/Hers

Breast cancer has the ability to wreck families as a whole, it’s not just the patient who is affected by the cancer. Safe to say cancer is detrimental to both males and females without making it a thing about gender
