Anderson123 37,964
Joker 2 getting THAT amount of hate. I truly believed that Gaga’s Harley had the potential to be her Lead Actress Oscar if it was done right. Gaga not getting an Oscar nom for House of Gucci even though she was the ONLY ONE to make it into Golden Globes, Critics Choice, SAG and BAFTA. My bad this thread is about plot twist in a Good way. I guess Mayhem and Die With A Smile success coming from Joker 2 disaster. Edited June 2 by Anderson123

MOT 2,964
She's a great bouncebacker in general. I would say she's had two major setbacks in her career in ARTPOP and JFAD, but she's come roaring back after both.
ode 1,528
ARTPOP finally becoming understood (in a mainstream way) by the public and critics alike as a misunderstood masterpiece. Now, let's all do the same for Bionic. 2

I know there's a lot more. Judas has always been a hit It’s more appreciated now though, which is great

StrawberryBlond 14,726
It has to be Bloody Mary's virality years after release. When Kate Bush had that unexpected resurgence due to Running Up That Hill smashing on Stranger Things, it made me wish Gaga could do the same with one of her songs. To do it with a non-single is immense. For the song to not even be in the original Wednesday sequence is the really impressive part. Netflix embracing her by giving her a role was what we hoped would happen but we thought was unlikely but now it's actually happening. Let's hope it's better received than JFAD. Runners-up would be TIHTY getting Oscar nominated, JFAD crashing and burning with her first Razzie win (but bouncing back phenomenally as we speak), ASIB being as big as it was and ARUTW becoming one of her biggest streaming hits of all time when it wasn't even promoted, HoG failing to get major acting wins, ROM being her biggest studio album single in years and DWAS smash to end all smashes. Plus many more. 2

KindnessPunk 1,948
Maybe the Super Bowl Halftime Performance? I vaguely remember some of the fans thought she was gonna perform mostly songs from Joanne, and she ended up delivering a pop performance masterpiece. Although to be fair I wasn’t keeping up with any leaks or anything at the time so maybe it was known what she was gonna do but for me it was a lovely surprise. Something that Gaga does that really makes my heart soar is when she creates magic with her performances. She’s an amazing performer in general, but there are definitely stand-out moments where I feel like I did watching her arrive to the carpet in the vessel. Super Bowl Half Time was definitely one of those moments, as it should be. 1

For the first time people were talking about her in a good way again. Also I was shook because that performance is one of her greatest of all time --- I've watched that video so many times. Chills. Dopamine. Hope. Nostalgia. and her voice... just unlike any other. There was desperation in that performance! And proof! She boldly stepped forth in all her glory and shone it across the world. OK but that rebirth was a twist because of the setup!! Trigger warning: Reference to the fall of Gaga circa 2011 For me the first twist was her first downfall, namely the Judas backlash (that has led to the double twist that you mentioned of Judas now being a hit!), anyway her plummeting from her position as first ever Angel-Queen of Pop-Music-Sex-Dance-Hope--Love-Discosticks-Kunst. The way the Paparazzi video literally forsaw her downfall and I still didn't see it coming My guts were twisted in a knot, so to speak. And then when she twisted again with her Sound of Music tribute, ****ing changed my life. Edit 1: I'm still hoping some headline drops that says "WE LOVE HER AGAIN!" Edit 2: She kinda proved that there is hope even when it feels like the world's against you. Ugh. DIVA This for real. I obviously knew she was an incredible musician before this, but I FOR sure had never seen her sing like this. Even me, as a fan that had watched every performance/interview, was genuinely shocked at her operatic/musical theatre vocals. I remember thinking, during that performance, that every thought I had of her being an icon that would stand the test of time prior, was cemented after that performance. I 100% knew that she, in fact, could do anything musically. There's obviously been other things, but this moment truly caught me off guard. And ever since then, I've never doubted her choices, as I realized then and there she had so much potential throughout the entire entire business, not just as a pop star. LordByron28 1,038
Probably her whole transition from 2014-2025(Jazz, Sound of Music, AHS, ASIB). Transitioned to traditional singer and actress. Then right when Joker 2 released she picked up where she had left off after BTW.
