I remember Lupone complaining about how Broadway became too loud before her comments about this specific show so it's not like she only did it for a black-led show... Implying it was a racist micro agression was a trial of intent with no proof and some folks jumped on the occasion to get her it seems. Now she was indeed wrong to dismiss her afterwards when doing less shows than her doesn't stop her from being a vet when she's also experimented. Mainly when it's harder for black actresses to get cast to begin with and I'm sure Lupone knows that... That was the racially tone deaf part but she'll be cancelled for the volume jab that may be just her pissed off her quiet play got its audience disturbed by the neighbor show big tunes.

Nah, I love Patti but she messed up. The way she talked about those women is unacceptable and far too normalized so I'm here for the drama of it all with my opera glasses 🥂 

Maybe this will encourage others to talk like they have some sense when the topic of conversation is a professional Black woman in entertainment.
