I mean in the current industry post album singles as a hard rule flop and a lot of artists abandon them even with successful albums.

Sabrina being the most recent example - Taste was her last big hit from the album and it came out on day 1 of the album. They've floated some singles since with zero take off. 

I think if Gaga is going to drop a new single, the most logical step in the current industry era is a deluxe edition with the single being a new song.

What tells me that they may prepare for a MAYHEM extension is the fact the last single treatment was in February and they shown no interest into pushing a song from the album while having big promo slots in Spring
