For all intents and purposes, Abracadabra and the other Mayhem tracks are still very much 'new' songs. Unless they said 'a brand new, upcoming song', I would err on the side of caution and assume they mean songs from Mayhem. So far that first source is the only one alluding to a Wednesday-specific track. It's better to be surprised than disappointed.
