He's generally kinda off-putting, not a very good representation of "southern kindness". He's very much just another cookie cutter country music singer that makes empty music for the same people that vote Trump due to his empty stances.

I think people reinforced their hate from him after he kinda left SNL in a hurry and made a story saying something along the lines "back to god's country" after he left.

He’s said it multiple times, not just once. And tbh, saying the N-word with a hard R at the end, multiple times, tells me he’s 1) comfortable saying that word and 2) that he has strong racial bias towards black people, which imo automatically makes you a bad person. Especially being a full-grown adult.
