she did? where?

On the Spotify press conference with fans. She said it unprovoked too.

She casually mentioned there were songs that almost made it to the record, but were left out last minute. And she said: "It was Frankensteined". If we get a Mayhem deluxe, maybe she'll finally release it.

Red One was also randomly posting stories about her, right after the "Disease" video dropped, and we were speculating "ZombieBoy" to be "Frankensteined". I'm sure they talked in the last couple of months.

I thought Bad Romance was entirely composed by Gaga

I think she can't write the beat, as in: the electronic base. I think she writes in piano or guitar, and comes with the vocal melody, the lyrics, the verses, etc.

But the electronic base, it's always a different artist, I think. She writes the traditional part of the song (vocal melodies, and lyrics), and the industrial/electro parts, she shops from different producers. That's how I understand it.

And that's how it seems to be in pop music in general, apparently it's always like that.

always like how he talks about the work. it's not in a WORK WITH ME AGAIN PLEASE kind of way, it's just very respectful of what they've done and the impact it's had. it's nice to see

Its likely why they seem to still be on good terms compared to a lot of people from the early days.

I think the beat also may have not been finished when he said "It was for Lil Wayne" - it could've just been a drum loop and a few synths. I mean Gagas work has always been very hip hop influenced, from her saying Poker Face had Timberland inspiration, Government Hooker also originally being a hip hop beat being sped up and the cadence of Million Reason making her say it has a hip hop feel to it-  so she probably heard the BR beat and told RedOne to add things here, those chords etc.

maybe early production of the song was for lil wayne, but it seems odd since early bad romance demo sounds waaay too similar to poker face to not be a fully Gaga song.

i will still never get over that little  "ooh ooh ooh" in this demo's chorus, i wish she'd kept it :bradley:

the percentage of people that stan both lady gaga and ilia malinin is small but never zero

i can see why it was intended for lil wayne, he had a little phase of appearing on pop rock/industrial songs around that time unfortunately

Yeah he worked with Redone a few times as a ft

i think that's what he meant, for sure. i mean, there's no way that melody was just slapped onto a finished instrumental, especially that one. I could see the synths on the hook or the drums in the chorus. it makes sense when you listen for it but, like government hooker and BM, you can hear where it was obviously tweaked and refinished it
