"There's an adlib where I say “Tell ‘em B”…” and that was Beyonce cuz she was taking songs for her country album and that was a song I had written for.  So, I had written originally that song around Plastic Heart Days. And never got the production quite where I wanted it but I had written it with totally a different verse. I had always loved that chorus. And then I held on to it and when Beyonce was looking for songs on her country record, I remembered that chorus and was like that would work really well for country. And so I started working on that and she chose Shotgun Rider. That's what the II Most Wanted  demo was called"

I don’t think any of us are in denial of that. Beyoncé is a phenomenal performer, but none of us are under the impression she writes her songs other than contributing a lyric or ad-lib here and there.

I've seen quite a lot of people who say that she writes all her songs herself, even on this forum a few months ago...

I was under this impression as well?  I believed most people knew that Bey doesn't write everything but does have a hand in it. There are many impeccable stars who don't write much of their material, take Whitney Houston for example.

and the gag is a lot of stars who do write their own songs f*ckng suck  some of them DO need additional writers but are too cocky to ask for help

This is gonna sound so bitter but I hate that artists never mention Gaga as an inspiration for their projects, even when it seems fairly obvious. Idk why but it drives me crazy.
