I understand that you can have your phone and take pics/film with it but you can't bring professional cameras or any camera (like the actual device) with you

I was able to record all 5.5 hours of Eras from 5:30 pm to 11 pm on my Sony PCM10. The security at Sofi was a joke. I literally could have smuggled in something far worse (I would never) but I was amazed and frankly for my purposes delighted when I was able to get the machine in so easily

Cause 90% of the crowd is more concerned with looking through their phone to make a 30-60second video they'll never watch again instead of witnessing the show directly. It must feel crazy to look down from the stage and see a wall of cell phones in front of you, people stop dancing because they don't want a shaky insta story and a hundred other reasons i'm too lazy to type at 6:46am

This is standard for all concerts. Cameras are not allowed, but cell phones are.

It's also a promo thing tbh, just look at how the music is always boosted on streaming services each time she performs at a concert. How her music is all over TikTok once she performs... Believe me she and her team are very fine with people filming

This. Even before prices skyrocketed, I stopped going to concerts because of the abuse of smartphones. Thankfully they are still prohibited in the majority of cinemas and theaters, because, to me, the wall of screens is simply insufferable. And it's even funnier when people records shitty and shaky videos of a professionaly recorded concert: I get they want the feeling of their "own" video, but to me it sounds more an effect of FOMO and of social media addiction to film everything. But I stopped going to concerts, so they can enjoy their screens and I can enjoy music in private dance rooms with people actually caring about dancing and listening to music.

same with clubs. Luckily most every Techno party has phones prohibited or only allows them inside the venue with stickers over the cameras in my town, which makes going out so much more enjoyable. 

Also, don't get me wrong, i love myself a cute picture with my friends and a few nice pictures from the concert, my issue is more with the filming and all that comes along with it.
