It’s not some fan-voted award; it’s a technical award that has nothing to do with the success of whatever song was performed on the Billboard Charts.

Ok I need Hold My Hand (Piano Version) or Hold My Hand (No Bloodpop) ASAP because that Superbowl performance was beautiful. I hate when she writes amazing songs on the piano and the producers turn it into a POS

If it's like past years, the way these schmemmys work is that they already voted and the top 5 are announced as the "nominees" even though there's already a winner — the public just doesn't know who it is yet.
