WickedStan 151
It has been announced that Cynthia Erivo will return to the West End in February 2026, in Kip Williams' production of DRACULA. The show will run at the Noël Coward Theatre. Erivo will be portraying the iconic character of Dracula, as well as 22 other roles in this one-woman show. I WILL be seated for this, can't wait to get my ticket. Edited May 13, 2025 by WickedStan 2 6

NickiMinajStan 6,894
I know the general audience will spin it into a "DEI hire" narrative, but I do think she's a good pick to play a vampire. She does have this dramatic style about her, and her long nails, bald haircut and strong features, do make her look like a fashionable, glamorous Nosferatu. In theatre, men playing feminine roles, and women playing masculine roles is common. It has been since the beginning of theatre tradition, worldwide. Same for any kind of actor interpreting a character of a specific ethnicity: in Opera is very common to see greek women playing an asian character, or an italian playing a gypsy, etc. I think she could do a good job. If I was a movie director, a vampire would the first role I'd think for her, she has the dramatic weight for it. HEART OF EVER-FROST

Roughhouse Dandy 12,338
Loving the concept and have full faith in Cynthia, but I wonder how they're going to do it logistically. The Picture of Dorian Gray is making it happen with screens which is on theme, but idk if that would work for Dracula. F*ck. I wish they'd release a pro-shot 😭 I wanna see it so badly. This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.
