Oklahomas Paycom Center is free on Thursday  then has a show on Friday  and will host the next game on Sunday. Ball arena has nothing scheduled aside from Katy on Thursday May 15th until May 27th. 

 

I hope Kylie and Katy’s promoters have some contract in place that favors them. 

because home court isn't dependent on the date, it's dependent on the seed of the team.

the ignorance of basketball in this thread is showing, but they shouldn't have scheduled for these dates to begin with.

at the end of the day, the concerts are just a convenient way for them to make more money so keep in mind that the priority will always be the games and stuff. 

It's not like the venues are doing artists favors by holding concerts there, they're very much being paid for it. 

 

On top of that, people local to the area have paid or lost out on tax revenue from the stadium as well. $36 million in property tax deferment,  $4.5 million in waived seat taxes, and another $4 million to build road infastructure. 

 

So yeah, we probably should hold them accountable and criticize them. A business arrangement is a business arrangement. If you don't want to be held to a date, don't book it. Tens of thousands of people plan their finances around an event like this, take time off for it, and book other (possibly non-refunda) arrangements. "Its just how the NBA works". But why.

This isnt Katy Perrys teams fault. The arena should know if it already has an event booked or not and its their responsibility to not accept requests

 

If i try to book a doctors appointment, he has to tell me which slots he has open, i cant guess his entire schedule

Well there’s always contracts that are made for those businesses and I can guarantee to you that all those things you’re saying it’s similarly mentioned on the lines and agreed with all parts , especially because a change due to a game day is not an everyday occurrence.
