Shakira accused of ignoring Met Gala theme in bubblegum pink gown

I think it needs to be said that the actual gown is very well tailored a la Tailored to You. The seams are beautiful, and there was obviously amazing craftsmanship to fit it to her body.

The issue is taste. The train is both flaccid and tacky. It just looks like it was tacked on without a vision of what it would look like. The color is an odd choice. I'm not extremely familiar with her, but I know she's typically not a bubblegum pink girly. So for her and the event, it feels off.

Her hair is gorgeous, feels out of place in this setting, but it's classic Shakira so it made the look feel more like her.

I don't think she looked bad per se, just not fitting for the event, which is what this thread is about.
