It is literally so crazy that he constantly blames the other side for EXACTLY what he's doing. I came here to say that this is because he wants to push US propaganda and control what the US people see and here he is blaming the rest of the world for the same thing

That's exactly what it is. That's what he did with TikTok. There was never any plan to ban TikTok, it's all about controlling what the people see and blocking outside influences. The internet was the worst thing that could've happened to the US propaganda machine because it gave the citizens a window into the outside world for the first time. People started waking up around 10 year ago to how the US isn't in fact the best place on the planet. When TikTok was removed it popped back up within 24 hours with a message praising Trump for saving TikTok, and a tweaked alorithm that favoured pro US and pro right-wong content. There's nothing more controlling than that

Also don't forget the US department of defense literally provides funding and resources for films that specifically portray the military in a positive light. It's all about control and propaganda

The amount of US films that are filmed in studios in the UK is massive, what benefit does this have on the USA? And what is he talking about propaganda? Surely if USA films are the only ones allowed that is more likely to produce propaganda

Exactly my thoughts. If you make impossible for the people to watch foreign content, they won't be able to perceive other foreign points of view in a lot of different topics. If there are no outsiders, his agenda can be more pushed easily

I heard recently there was a film being made where it was cheaper to fly the whole crew and pay for their hotel to shoot a few days in europe than it would cost to shoot 1 day in LA where they are already based. Canada has good tax breaks too for shoots there, so LA/USA needs to cut their expenses to match the foreign offers.
