elijahfan 26,033
Whoever it is, I’m pretty sure the city will do its best to break the record. With this show becoming a thing and gaining popularity year after year, it is to be expected. I could see Taylor wanting to do it. Rihanna would be quite the event. Beyoncé must be on their list too. If they want to keep the momentum going, there aren’t that many artists to pick from. Edited May 5 by elijahfan

andy232000 11,362
I actually LOVE how slowly this is becoming the new milestone for artists. I read that it’s meant to last only until 2028, when the major or Rio finishes his term. But given how profitable and iconic this is turning out to be, all major that follow should keep this going for years to come. Soon, EVERY artist’s dream will be to headline the Copacabana Show. SORRY SUPERBOWL!! 1. Copacabana (NEW) 2. Super Bowl Halftime Show (-1)
andy232000 11,362
I think this show is meant to be for big BIG acts. I can see Shakira, Beyonce and Taylor doing it. Maybe some really familiar band. Eventually I guess you can start doing less demanding artists but lower down the audience expectations.

StrawberryBlond 14,819
All the obvious answers have already been given and I'll say something regarding Taylor. Even though she sold out 6 stadium shows in Brazil totalling around 360k people on average...that's kinda the whole point. Those were paid-for tickets. Taylor is so money-orientated, I couldn't see her doing a free concert. She wouldn't sacrifice 2.1m+ ticket sales "for the culture." I think also Brazil will have had their fill of her for a long time now, she won't have the demand like that again for years. So, Gaga's record could well be safe for a long time. For sure, many women will want to try now as they realise this is a thing but I literally can't think of any female who could do better than that except maybe Beyonce as she did a whole bunch of Brazilian stadiums last time, but the last time she did Latin American dates was in 2013. There has to be a reason for that.

There has to be a reason for that. it's a free concert for the public, she would still get paid... I don't see taylor doing it or even them asking her to do it, she has been here recently and she has a lot of haters. Most of her fan base is white young girls, they would feel safer in a stadium lol not late night at the beach I can only see Beyoncé doing it, but not for this current tour of hers. I could see her doing an one off show tho. Rihanna would be a possibility for sure. Shakira was here recently. I guess that is it for artists that I'd like to see and that fit the bill. I feel like they'll try to go for a rock band like U2 or Rolling Stones and realise they need the gays. They'll try for Beyoncé and she might break Gaga's record. I was partially joking because a friend om mine always screams “CHER IS EVERYTHING” and always comes for Gaga. But after Gaga it is time for someone old to do it, like madonna, and who better than the woman who started her carreer when the dinosaur were still around

After Madonna and Gaga, I don't see many artist of that caliber. I'd say Bey or U2, but I have a soft spot for Cher. Besides she can sing Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For even better than Bono ! And she'll be back in Vegas this year. What a nice springboard for Rio ! And just like that on Cher Brasil... ‘Believe’ becomes Cher’s first album to surpass 1 BILLION streams on Spotify. EDIT : Forgot to mention that after 10 years of waiting, she'll drop a new album of original music sometimes in 2025. It's also said that this one could be her final album... So...
