It's like the Jakarta situation all over again. Taylor's shows in Austria had to get cancelled after a terrorist plot was intercepted which is crazy considering the people were already caught before the show started. Then of course there's the Ariana situation in Manchester. It really is a worldwide threat and it's so sad that concerts full of happy people are targeted by people with an agenda. To know it was a hate group that was opposed to the LGBT community is particularly dark. The sad fact remains that a traditionalist place like Brazil will have issues with people not being straight and conformist. Though it ultimately doesn't matter what kind of society you live in. Honestly, when I heard that Rio throw these massive free concerts all the time, it made me wonder why there's not a Astroworld situation happening more often with all those people crushed so close together but looking at footage, there seems to be more room around them than it looks. But to imagine explosives being set off in such a populated space, especially with so many phones, alcohol, hairspray and other flammable materials from all those people acting as ignition...unthinkable.

The police don't always act as quickly as they should in such situations but they clearly did here. On behalf of all fans, thanks you to the Brazilian police and security services.

So sad that we can never enjoy something positive without the fear of being killed... Glad that they prevented the worse.

I also kind of wish they didn't share info like this: as a matter of fact, countless planned terrorist attacks are prevented all the time without it ever being made public. Of course we can rejoice those in charge to protect us are doing their job, but I think making all that public also contributes to building the atmosphere of fear those lowlifes want to instill.

Why? They neutralized the threat quickly. Telling LG and the crew would have been awful for their mental health.
