Hey! A bunch of drag queens and I are organising a Gaga themed drag show this Saturday. I wanted to incorporate the iconic line “Ive been singing jazz since i was 13” but im having trouble finding a clear soundbite for my mix. If any of you could help me id be very grateful

no no, Im trying to find a clip where she says the line, the ones i found from interviews either have a lot of background noises or the way she says it is way different from what i remembered 😅

Ohhhh i see, no idea

 

To be fair often how we remember stuff isnt quite how they said it. Its entirely possible what u think u remember doesnt exist

 

I cant tell u how many times i swore on my life a scene or a line or something was one way and when i saw it again years later i realized that my memory of it was totally wrong

Yeah could definitely be the case. I think i’ve joked about it so much over the years that i’ve probably created a different version of it in my head

Update: i digged a bit deeper into the cheek to cheek era interviews and found not one but two videos where she says the exact same phrase, mission accomplished! Side note-It’s super interesting to see how much her life changed since then, we really grew up together 🥲
