While some fans understand it as a celebration of her show, for me I am guessing she feels threatened and surpassed (since Gaga's show is expected to be twice as impactful, at least finnancially) but I thought she was ending beefs not re-starting them?

I honestly very much dislike her approach to other girls being as/more successful than her

 

EDIT: Wasn't there a better time and date to throwback to her concert as today? Suspicious much? Kisses to Brazil? Born to Vogue (and not This Way?)

She's just an old lady at this point, for God's sake, imagine all they could’ve done together... They've taken a few photos in the  past, suggesting some kind of mutual respect or understanding. But still, I feel like our dear granny has some personal issues to work through. Of all the people in the world, she’s the one who would benefit the most from accepting that Gaga is the new high priestess of pop, and that someday, she’ll have to pass that crown.

I literally imagine a concert like an epic battle between two pop kingdoms: Madonna vs Gaga, each with their own armies of dancers, visuals, and hits. It starts as a fierce rivalry, full of power and drama, but ends with them joining forces in a mind-blowing finale. Two queens, one stage, united.

Read the comments and didnt see ANY shade. It’s ppl like you who keep the drama between both fanbases alive.

it’s been a year since her Rio show and her daughter Esther has been following vogue classes for years + danced in the show

so no shade there at all

+  “Kisses to Rio” is more of a “goodluck” than anything else

Taking into account Gaga is following her unprecedented achievement as in now, it does. 

It feels like: "hey I am here" while trying to gain attention now that the Rio thing is not only hers

I love and respect Madonna's legacy as an artist etc but this comes across as bitter imo.

Like girl you had your iconic moment last year...just let Gaga have hers too or be humble/gracious enough to wish her luck at least??

Let me just put it like this: You'd never see Gaga pulling this kind of sh*t with another younger artist. Instead she embraces and champions them.

 

Edit: This reminds me of that moment when Gaga won Billboard Woman of The Year in 2015 and at the end of her speech she was gracious enough to say "Here's to the next Woman of The Year" which ironically turned out to be Madonna. Just saying.
