I wonder why the media is acting like this now?

She got constant praise for her work for years. There was like a full year of the internet debating whether or not she deserves an AOTY win and then she finally did it with a country-esque album. Now some people really want to see her get humbled and the media knows her fans are gonna pull up the engagement numbers by defending her in the comments. That's my guess anyway.

I love to see this - and not because I’m here for them “tearing down female performers” lol but because the dynamic ticket pricing needs to stop and the more headlines around them negatively the better. Beyoncé can’t sell out for that reason, even if indirectly, great. Lady Gaga fans pissed off because of crap presales and dynamic pricing, even better.

if we don’t get a handle on concert prices it’s gonna end up as an episode of black mirror

Exactly this. We need stuff like this to happen so the Ticket Master scam monopoly comes to an end. It's honestly ridiculous.

And tbh, Beyonce deserves it a bit for the dynamic pricing. That is artist discretion. Gaga would deserve the same. Literally, unironically, in this economy as the top 1% you have the gall to institute dynamic pricing and gouge fans?

where tf are they seeing these $20 tix because I want one!!

There are some on Ticketmaster :flower:

$1,000+ for floor seats at face value and just across from them are resale tickets at half that price. Lower bowl seats ranging from $50-$200 and higher up they're like $20-$50

Honestly if I wanted to travel I would go see her for those prices :ladyhaha:

Gaga's tickets were dynamic pricing as well but she hasn't toured in 5 years and her popularity is at a new peak. Factor in smaller venues and all the shows are sold out.

Well "sold out". The tickets were bought, a solid third of them are being resold at a profit :huntyga:

That's why I said Gaga would deserve the same -- I think dynamic pricing is scummy, no matter who it is or what the context is. I just find it disappointing and a bit tone deaf

The thing is, in the US its becoming more and more common for concerts to sell out or almost sell out only a few hours or minutes before the beggining of the show. People are waiting the last moment to buy a ticket to get a cheaper one. It happened for both the Eras tour and Renaissance (wich have become the 2 highest grossing female tour ever)

Europe could not relate tho :sis:

That’s exactly what I plan on doing. I’ve seen people have luck going to the box office in person day of, and it avoids the fees too.

Oh, I thought you meant "would" as in "she would deserve it if she did it"...so I was like "she did do it"...

My bad :poot:

I just looked at the SoFi stadium show for tonight and they have lower bowl tickets at nearly $600 face value right next to resale tickets that are $40 :billie:

At least we can take joy in the fact that these scalpers are taking several hundred dollars worth of losses per ticket :vegas:

But yeah, these prices are ridiculous. And it's not only a Beyoncé thing...Gaga :triggered:

it's amazing! but tbh the issue is that for artist's like beyonce and gaga is they're so big people *expect prices to be enormous so it almost doesn't matter what the reality of the price is?

I mean yeah but there's a limit :cryga:

I remember paying $400 per ticket for the SSN show and got right beside her piano. I paid $700 per ticket, more than two freaking grand, for the Mayhem Ball and I'm not even on the floor :kry:

Something needs to change 'cause Idk if I can justify dropping $1k+ per ticket for nosebleeds at the LG8 Ball :bradley:

I don't care how big you are, allowing dynamic pricing is just scummy in any situation. Artists are not responsible for these kind of underhanded tactics from Ticketmaster but do nothing to stop them either. The fact that tours from massive acts like Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar are struggling to sell out is a clear sign that people are catching on and have had enough of outrageous prices, especially in the current economic climate.

More artists should take the stance of Robert Smith of the Cure who has become Ticketmasters worse enemy by repeatedly calling them out for their shitty practices and always does his best to ensure people can see the band for affordable prices.

We’re all being deported, jailed & tarrifed, we’re all are out here trying to slay giants because of this administrations monstrosities. Even if we can afford it, who’s got the time to slay with Beyonce, when we all are fighting the big bad giants. 🤷‍♂️

She's touring act ii because it's a part of a 3-act project. It's all connected. If she toured act i it makes complete sense for her to do so for all of them imo. I may be delulu but I'm still pretty positive the visuals are coming once we get all of the music too. After all, she said before this started she wanted to let the music speak for itself for a while. Then renny toured and she said she knows we've been asking for the visuals and she's moving at her own pace. If I'm right then this whole thing is a monumental undertaking; a few potential unsold tickets would mean nothing. Besides, its not like she needs the money :huntyga:

Idk but hopefully that means we're getting another concert film at the end of this go-round before she takes us into the mosh pit.

I'm watching a live stream right now. The stage and runways are so huge. They take up more than half of the field, making it look like there are a few people in the floor seats. Maybe SoFi is really just smaller than other stadiums.

In terms of the show so far, let's just say I miss the futuristic spectacle of Renaissance Tour. This feels a lot less fun.

I meaaaan, get your country together 😅 dynamic pricing isn't allowed in the EU due to customer protection and i think it's more so the environment Bey, Gaga and other artists of their magnitude play in that their tours are sold with dynamic pricing. At this point I really don't think they have that much saying in the matter, at least if they want to book via ticketmaster/eventim 🤷🏼‍♀️
