Just my two cents and unpopular opinion.

I saw the setlist and i will comfortably say i will not attend the concert. It is too much focus on CC and Renaissance, and could be alienating casual fans (like me) which dont follow closely on latest album tracks. The only hit songs from the past she included are Crazy in Love and Formation. The rest are from CC and Renaissance albums.

People have been comparing CCT to eras tour. It is not even comparable. Eras tour success comes from the fact TS put a specific segment to highlight all her previous albums/eras. Fans from all age groups can relate to a certain part of those eras (e.g. fans in 40s can relate to early country songs, 30s can relate to Red-1989 pop hits while young teens can relate to folklore evermore). This cross-appeal is so important when you want your tickets to sell well.

Im sure many will say it is a tour for CC and meant mainly for fans. But hey, selling to fanbase is limited. Inclusions of more previous hits will urge more casual fans to attend.

Im suddenly glad that at least Gaga's Mayhem shows gonna include PF, BR, BTW, Judas, Bloody Mary, Scheisse (long time fan fave). She is somehow striking a good balance between new songs + old hits + hits from recent years (Shallow).

I think it's a shame for you to limit yourself to things you already know instead of being open to a brand-new and exciting experience. The reality is that Beyoncé is still one of (if not the definitive) greatest performers of all time and being able to see her at the top of her game, no matter what material she's singing, it's so worth it. People don't realise how amazing she is live until they actually experience it for themselves because Twitter videos don't do it justice. I usually avoid seeing the same singer multiple times in tour (with a few exceptions if I really liked an album/stage design) but I haven't missed a single tour by Beyoncé since On The Run 1 because of how iconic every single one of her shows is. The vocals alone are a serve and CC has some incredible vocal moments, from rock-type yelling to operatic aria singing to other beautiful gorgeous melodies. It's the same as refusing to go watch a movie in the cinema because you aren't familiar with every scene and dialogue and therefore won't enjoy it imo. Sometimes the experience itself is about embracing something new.

And correct, it's definitely not comparable to the eras tour. That one had extremely minimal staging and choreography and was really just about her singing. This is a whole production with a lot of care and consideration put into every aspect of the staging lighting etc. to make it a full on production that will be unforgettable.

CC isn't meant mainly for fans. It's meant for people who want to see a good show. There are plenty of people who go to concerts without knowing a single song and still have a great time. I personally am extremely bored of hearing Poker Face at every Gaga show to be honest. And extremely bored of hearing Crazy in Love at every Beyoncé show. Mariah Carey only sings the same stuff all the time and it's extremely boring now. When you start behaving like the only material that matters is your old stuff, your career momentum just dies instantly because people never learn to like your new material. Renaissance mainly blew up because of the tour and the CCT will likely boost CC songs as well for the GP.

First of all, no they weren’t tarped off as you can clearly see in the video.

Second of all, even if they were, who the **** cares? What does it matter? Is there not more important things for grown ass adults to be thinking about than how many tickets a multi millionaire sells?

This whole “WAS IT SOLD OUT” topic is genuinely stupid and anyone seriously engaging in it needs to get a job or go outside or find something productive to do with their day. It is not important at all.

Well I don't care, just responding on why "it looks full"

Never been accused of common sense.

Must be because I'm old and heard Fearless back in the dark ages when it released 😂

I never thought she’d do a stadium tour with this one. I mean optics wise I would’ve done theaters or dive bars to hammer the passion project vibes. Her xmas half time not making as much noise should’ve been an indicator for them. Plus I think they should change things up a bit for her. It’s the same sassy slay thing every time but now in a yee haw package.

Like Taylor is so wise that after coming from a massive phase in her career she’s in hiding. She knows that after a peak there’s a comedown.

Ok but tbf this is a 3 act project lmao beyonce didn’t drop anything really between lemonade and this. Sure she had the joint album and lion king but neither were billed or pushed as BEYONCE COMEBACK. Optically it never really felt like an ERA.

Taylor also does not hide of her own volition lmao that album was dragged so badly I think she felt the need to let some heat cool which is why she paused on the rereleases too

i do agree this tour if she did one should have been different bc this feels like yeehaw renaissance to me rather than its own thing EXCEPT for the interludes which are amazing and actually surpass renny’s imo. When those visuals do eventually drop they’re gonna eat

Mhmm people forget the point of a tour is to promote the album lmao especially for Beyonce who basically did no other promo she’s clearly asserting that the promo for this era is HER PERFORMANCE. Kinda anti brat in that regard where the core promo was a million other marketing elements (to its success tbf). She’s dead set on letting the music get promoted and I’ll be honest tonally the tour feels wildly different than Renaissance. It feels quieter, softer, but also more pointed and personal. So to that end good on her for putting in the work to make this promo feel distinguished and unique. I do think she could have done smaller theater shows to REALLY mix it up and throw a curve ball but it is what it is

it's the Cowboy Carter tour.......

and Renaissance is her 2nd most recent album

why are you surprised?

she clearly doesn't care to cater to "casual fans" lol

Oh I know but what’s presented in the visuals here is distinct from renaissance’s is what I mean and the selection they present here are sooooo sickening. Renaissance lowkey didn’t really have many visuals come to think of it and that’s ok too hahahaha

And hence it explains why some casual fans may not attend. In an economy where money is scarce, not everyone willing to go into a concert not knowing 80% of the songs. At least, i have friends around me which are slightly disappointed at Gaga not singing some of her biggest hits in my region e.g. telephone, millions reasons, just dance, applause etc. But at least Gaga is doing like 8 classic songs + she has recent hits DWAS + Abra which balanced things out.

On myself, i prefer to go into a concert where i know at least half the songs. That way, i can enjoy singing along 50% of the time + 50% of the time discovering new gems like what you said. For example TS eras tour, i fell in love with evermore & folklore & midnight songs.

To me, balance is the key.

Beyonce is still making bank even when resellers make big losses.

It would be interesting to see what she does with the next tour. Would she go with arenas like Gaga or maintain stadiums albeit with much fewer dates, and much lower prices.
