Lady Gaga returning to her hotel in Mexico City late at night

I usually kinda hate when fans get crazy and start hollering and screaming for her like they're having a meltdown, and this is much worse. I understand being excited since she's such an amazing artist, but it's not hard to behave and be respectful, and fans may actually have the chance to see and talk with her. These kinds of fans ruin that possibility for everyone else, likes seriously? Swarming the car, pulling the handles and banging on the glass like she's a zoo animal? Might as well whistle and tell her to do a trick. She's told many times she wants to be treated like a person and there are so many other ways to show appreciation.

I mean, you’re more likely to get to interact with her if you act like a normal person rather than yanking the door handle, screaming and hollering at her face like you’re out to lynch her.

Weird, horrible behaviour. She’s a human being. “Fans” like these ought to listen more carefully to what she says in interviews and her songs about fame

There's a difference between showing your support for someone and being a liability. Swarming her car and trying to open the door is wild. Show support at the show, but stuff like this—no matter where—is unacceptable.

as I mentioned, this is not a typical behaviour from the latin american or mexican public, but because of ONE single video we already getting bashed because we're ALL "exaggerated"? do not take all of us from one, two or whatever small number of people that do not represent how we behave and how much respect and, most of all, LOVE we deliver to the artists we cherish.

and that's why artists LOVE coming to Mexico, Brazil, and all other beautiful countries down here. we are the crowds they perform for. so other than the flaws a few commit, I think the northern crowds could learn SEVERAL things from us, passion being one.

You just ruined any chance of her even saying hi. Swarming and blocking her car and pulling the handles is wild. Remember that Mommy girl on 5 foot 2 doc and how Gaga felt about that moment? Thats probably what she feels when she finally gets to her room after this so I dont think is something to be proud of :brat:

see? I wasn't even there. y'all just take one of the bunch and label us all as such. If anything y'all should see that was a fault of hotel security for not preventing such thing. when we were expecting her in front of the Fasano for Rock in Rio, there was a small crowd that was growing and ASAP the hotel placed bars for the cars to be able to make a safe way to the entrance.

I love how casual xenophobia turns out to be. Yet we still deliver.

One thing is for certain, my username really rings true after seeing this  She's truly the last pop icon, I mean, who can illicit reactions like these on this day and age, this is MJ level stuff.

Ummm... what a f***king superstar tho. Period.

Exactly.

I understand feeling "protective" of her, but it's Lady ****ing Gaga, she generates huge amounts of buzz and interest, these things have always happened with huge icons like Michael, Madonna, various boybands, the Spice Girls...

In some countries more than others, sure, but it's nothing new, and it's nothing that her people didn't expect.

I don't know if you're talking about me specifically or other comments in this thread, but I never insinuated that this was typical behavior for Latin American audiences. I'm not extrapolating this to say that ALL audiences outside of the US are disrespectful. I'm saying that this specific group of people was doing things that were unacceptable and dangerous. Don't make this a country-specific issue. If this happened in New York, I'd be saying the same sh*t.

I wasnt talking about you personally tho' just like youre using the generic phrasing of "gringos being scared of us latinos" Im just talking about the latinos/people in there. Im not even a gringo and I still see how wrong this is, no matter where it happened.

Theres the hotel to blame as well but you could behave like actual grown ass adults which most of us are by now.
