Given the hectic pace that the Trump administration is setting in its attempts to set aside the rule of law, I see two possible scenarios in April 2028. 1. The US will have turned into a full-on poilce state with sham elections, and Trump 2028 will be a foregone conclusion (provided he is still around and wants it). 2. The lawlessness will have been confronted and defeated. with Trump either already gone from the Presidency or still in situ as the lamest duck in the history of duckdom.
