This song is… uncomfortable? Not in a bad way. Feels like holding on to the good memories of a relationship while simultaneously waking up from a dream and realizing it’s not all it was chalked up to be. Weirdly juxtaposing emotions.

I appreciated the song much more after watching the video. It’s a solid track and I’m excited for the album.

Besides everything from a technical point of view the Song loses all stream in the second verse and then It gets awkward in both music and flow of the lyrics. There are moments that feel empty, and its so hard tò come back tò the chorus. A chorus that has that melodrama rush feel but its so hard tò regain momentum After all that section.

When lorde was young She had such promise with her lyrics etc. Don't see that intelligence and crispiness here. And her voice since last album Is completely dry, no colours and not melodic at all.

I was initially very excited but it’s just ok. I’m honestly surprised she went back to this melodrama style and I’m excited bc that was one of the best albums ever but I expected it to be an evolution of the sound. The chorus is the weak point

I think it’s a good track with an interesting structure and different production to Melodrama (This is more electronic). I feel like she’s trying to capture a rush, like you’re spinning around and feeling anxious as you’re about to lose control. There’s a purposeful sense of struggle in the song.
