Nintendo Switch 2 Pricing For Brazil & Mexico Announced

Nintendo revealed, via email sent to the press, that the suggested price of the Nintendo Switch 2 in Brazil is R$4,499.90. The device is scheduled to be released on June 5, the same date as the final launch for other countries .

The package that will come with the device and the Mario Kart World game will have a suggested price of R$4,799.90. Individually, the title will cost R$499.90, whether digitally or physically.

Mexican consumers were also surprised this Wednesday (April 23) with the announcement of local pricing and the start of pre-sales next Friday (April 25), which cost MXN $13,599, and the bundle with Mario Kart World will cost MXN $14,899, and MKW game MXN $1,999

Brazil: 

Console: $788.70

Bundle: $841.20

MKW cartridge: $87.61

Mexico:

Oh wow, that conversion for Brazil SUCKS.

I'm reading that both Mexico and Brazil have taxes on foreign electronics and that's why the prices are much higher.

Brazil has a Donald Trump attitude and indeed has ultra-high taxes, and tries to make foreign companies settle and manufacture locally in Brazil, but does not realize that in a globalized world, big companies will not manufacture locally in every country, but rather the cheapest ones and Brazil simply is not among them. It sûcks for the local people who are poorer than Westerners but have to pay prices higher than Westerners for overseas products.

How ridiculous  

Complaints mean nothing if you're just gonna pay for it anyway. That's why I don't complain about how much the Mayhem Ball tickets cost me  

Nothing will change as long as companies know they can bleed people dry with zero consequences
