I obviously wasn’t intentionally wishing for anybody to “ go to jail” I was just expressing that the way gaga was being treated in that period of time was uncalled for and that the people who did that should feel bad about there comments

I’m a huge Gaga fan. I had an account but never commented back then as I was in HS. But even thinking about it now… this is one of my least favorite performances by her. People get defensive about Gaga, however nobody should ever really be mean about her. That being said, this performance was just gross. I wouldn’t want anybody to be vomiting on me. Y’all can blame the GP all you want for the downfall but a lot of the fans also weren’t onboard with this.

I wasn't embarrassed but I can understand the strong reactions from some.

I also don't see the use in digging up 11 year old comments and mentioning specific users like you have as well as digging up the old thread itself. It doesn't serve any purpose.

I will never forget her saying something like “no one can humiliate and disrespect me more than I can”… add that to  ‘Do What You Want”, her sharing about being raped, “don’t call my name Alejandro/Roberto/Fernendo” ( after the rape and heartbreaks they all just feel the same… they f*** me and I just want “to smoke my cigarette in hush”…

I really felt her pain in this whole set, hearing her scream at the top of her lungs, while still being judged as attention seeker… she literally expressed her pain in the most honest way (“you’re just a pig inside”) while creating art through her music and performance. It’s like she wanted to show that she can feel the pain while everyone’s watching, without being consumed by it. And she was willing to do it in the most graphic way possible…

I don't feel like going through the whole thread, but I remember being shocked that other fans were reacting so screamishly when she'd gotten puked on by Millie in an interlude before.

I thought it was the coolest thing ever. So punk rock. But I totally get why it turned others off.

We're allowed to like - or dislike - what artists' do. That's half the fun. I personally couldn't care less that some Monsters expressed their dislike. That's their right to do so.

It wasn’t so much of people sharing their opinion it was more so of them saying that she’s completely lost it and that she’s not who she used to be and that we want old gaga back that was making me upset because as I said in my og post we all know how much she’s had to fight for ARTPOP so to see everyone just completely trashing everything that stood for it made me really feel the pain she was feeling in that moment

Personally I found the "Aura" on a spit lowkey unsettling. 

That whole set was RAW ASF, but it was also filled with a lot of sadness and hurt.

But I think Gaga knew it was going to turn a ton of people off. That was kinda the point, imo. And it did. I think she probably enjoyed ruffling feathers a bit, tbh.
