Netflix announced a Heartstopper film today. Sadly the series wont get a 4th season, and instead ends with this movie. I am kinda sad about this tbh. How do you feel?

This is probably the right choice to end the series. Kit Connor is aiming for more adult roles and this is holding him back. Also they already tackled a lot of themes and it feels like they are running out of steam.

Probably for the best. They could also do a spinoff. The side characters have just as much to offer tbh.

I looooove Heartstopper. Idc what people say, like "it's too cringe," "it's not realistic," etc; I think it's a brilliant show. I'm kinda bummed it's not getting a fourth season though. I can't possibly imagine why. It's super popular and I'm sure it's not that expensive to produce, especially considering Netflix has thrown away much more money for much worse projects. Regardless, I'm still gonna watch it

I think they should have ended with a season though. Apparently they are putting Volume 6 and the Nick and Charlie novel in just this one movie

Sometimes I think like this (born in 1994) but honestly, we just have to be happy that kids these days have ample access to queer media.

When politicians make sh*tty laws or their parents or peers say sh*tty things, they have media and plenty of people online to tell them it's ok to be who they are

Im in my mid twenties so I did benefit from it a bit BUT I picture myself being a teenager and how much I NEEDED shows like this and easy access and also needed people around me to be desensatized to stuff like this...here it was still such a huge taboo until maybe 5-8 years...I missed out so much on growing seeped in this new environment. I mean even the fact that femboys or twink is so popular now even with straights is amazing whereas when i was growing up being a girly boy was like so embarassing  it breaks my heart...I wish I was 15 now  but like you said at least I can be happy for the other young ppl it just stings that we were part of the last generation to TRULY feel the intensity of the homophobia at least in the west

Season 3 was a complete mess compared to the first two. Interested to see how they’ll handle a movie.
