Blackout19 11,167
Which artist do you like more? I like JLO., but Shakira was my first Queen! It takes a smart brunette to play a dumb blonde.
Corous 305
Shakira is a true artist, Jennifer Lopez, on the other hand, is nothing more than a glorified influencer. 3
fraann 1,029
Shakira's discography is way more iconic and she's still relevant after more than 2 decades

RodeckDanny 2,428
Shakira 100% She is Iconic! Her first albums are masterpieces and she is a lyrical genius. She is going through a phase of less interesting stuff IMO but I trust she will come back to more mature and groundbreaking stuff in the future Listen to my debut pop single 'Want You Bad'! NUTELLA 5,894
Shakira is more talented, but I have a soft spot for some of JLO's movies (& a few of her dumb songs)

skaxboy 5,147
I said JLo. Shakira is definitely more talented but JLo’s music is more fun. But also, I’m going off of singles because I don’t think I have heard any of their albums in their entirety. JLo is more iconic to me because she was everywhere in the early 2000’s. She was one of the first celebrities to have a perfume and a clothing line. She had a number one album and number one movie at the same time. She even has an iconic South Park episode! “Play” and “Waiting For Tonight” are such bops. Plus I think the dance break for “Get Right” is so good. The most recent song of hers I remember hearing is the “move your body move your body, dance for your papi” song and it’s kinda a skip for me. I think “Let’s Get Loud” is such a mediocre song but she sang it at the Super Bowl so I guess she thinks it’s good. “Las De La Intuicion” was on heavy replay when it came out! “Underneath Your Clothes” is a good song. “She Wolf” is a bop and I love the video, she looks so good in it! I didn’t care for the Beyonce or Rihanna collaborations. I kinda like the Zootopia song because my BF plays it occasionally lol and I like the movie. And I love the Karol G song she is on. I’ve never seen either live but I would rather see JLo over Shakira. Shakira is gonna be in my city in June and I’ll try and snag a last minute resale nosebleed.
faysalaaa 3,935
I enjoy both of them alot, but I dont enjoy Jennifers work anymore
HausofGabo 1,254
Shak, all the way. She reminds me of Gaga in a lot of ways; how she creates music and her rock core, the way she reinventes herself and remains relevant and her philanthropic work. She’s got all. I went to her concert a couple of weeks ago and she was even better than the last 2 times I’ve seen her live. And Jennifer… López.
RichAssPiss 4,872
I respect Shakira more as a songwriter and musician. But if I'm being honest I've only really spent a lot of time with Laundry Service. J. Lo's initial run of singles through Get Right are still honestly great pop songs. She had excellent songwriters and producers behind her at her peak. I can't lie. I still play On the 6 and the J.Lo album.
Windowlicker 3,431
J.Lo was in The Cell, which is one of my favorite movies of all time. So J.Lo. Shakira is great as well.
Anderson123 37,477
I grew up listening to Shakira's best albums Pies Descalzos and Ladrones. And of course I got to listen to Laundry Service and the Oral Fixation volumes. I'm not that familiar with JLo's music except for a couple hits but Shakira is clearly one of the most talented latin artists we have today and it amazes me how with every album she gets even bigger everywhere. Killa 16,963
I think they're completely different. Yeah both dancers and latinas mi gente I used tò love that rnb phase. And the bops like play or get right, very annoying but addictive. Plus i loved waiting for the night and of you had my love more than almost everything from Shakira. Both cases i don't care for most of the albums only for a couple of songs. But then again i like more the different stages of Shakira career. And She has the Rihanna and Beyoncé duet that are mindblowing. Her career Is clearly another level. I Absolutely love both aint It funny. The executive a really created perfect products with jlo. The music Is more about the production than anything else though. Lol I give up, can't answer this
Reject False Icons 4,741
If you speak Spanish you already have 10 times more hits/variety to judge Shakira, I agree she has a lot of merit for crafting her own music/concepts but her lyrics are so “pick me, I’m nothing without you” type and her comments on the Barbie movie confirmed everything to me
