this t-shirt is an "apology gift" for Cowboy Carter art book that was supposed to be shipped in December, but was delayed and is expected to be shipped this month.

I've already seen fans complaining that some bought 2 or more books together to save on shipping costs and they will get only 1 t-shirt since her store only offers 1 per order.

It's one size lower than a size that's already reasonable. Making them out to be 5XL for a bad joke and exacerbating the issue isn't necessary.

Just to debunk the speculation and conspiracies, the person did not order a shirt. This is a free limited-edition exclusive t-shirt they are sending out to everyone who ordered the Cowboy Carter art book to apologise for it being delayed. If they don't have the size the person has asked for they probably prefer to give a different size than a different shirt.

The most important detail is that the person did not pay for the shirt.

they could gift them something some universal like bandanas but they probably hope that many of them will not choose the size, so they will not have to send anything extra

The right way other sales platform approaches this is a toggle asking:

a. Cancel & refund item if unavailable

b. Cancel & refund entire order if unavailable

c. Pick a backup item/size
