Can Americans do a solid for the rest of the world and impeach this guy?  

Where is congress? I highly doubt most republicans on congress are actually ok with this madness, they are probably just scared of his base and how opposing him might affect their political career but this needs to stop eventually right? Right?!

Republicans in Congress have no backbone. He's never getting impeached unless the Democrats win back control of both chambers of Congress, and even that won't make it enough to actually convict him in the Senate.

Only thing that can be done is the House impeaching him if Democrats win it back but it's dead on arrival in the Sentate.

Basically, it's all on the Republicans. If a minority of them chose to actually got through with it and join Democrats it could happen. They are actively choosing to let Trump get away with all of these things.

i'm terrified of what's happening, but the only solace i have is that i live in a red state (despite voting blue) so we get off a little bit more leniently than blue states.  and my governor, despite being republican, is trying to fight for the rights of trans people but the majority of my state's congress keeps overpowering him.

if it gets bad enough, i have a friend in canada i can go to, and it might end up coming to that.

Unfortunately, given that Trump pardoned the people who tried to violently overthrow the government on his behalf last time, Republicans in Congress are probably acutely aware that he would sic a violent mob on them again if they tried to remove him.

What’s more terrifying is the president of El Salvador siding with Trump, and echoing the same false accusations.  This is clear corruption, I wouldn’t be surprised if the administration is paying this man to cooperate in this atrocity. Can international legal powers intervene? They are violating this man’s human rights, WTF?

Bukele may have destroyed crime in El Salvador but he is still a dictator. El Salvador is being paid $6M to house migrants. 

Bukele is happy to do it because he’s an authoritarian fascist just like Trump. 

He got away with altering the constitution to serve another term, ousted the Supreme Court and installed loyalists, and pretty much has made all opposition irrelevant.

El Salvador is to this day under an emergency declaration which strips civil rights from citizens. 

He is a cautionary tale on giving leaders too much power even if the public is happy with what they’re doing.

Even though reducing crime is a great thing, and even though he took El Salvador from being the most dangerous to the safest, he is still an authoritarian. 

And he is now participating in human trafficking of migrants illegally deported to another country being help in the worst prison on the American continent.
