chronic 100
I don’t like bringing up Ri**y because the conversation gets too messy, and slightly inappropriate , but I couldn’t help but think about him during Gaga’s performance of SOAM last night. We saw a few of her old dancers that, iirc, haven’t performed with her in a while. I always kind of associated the song with Ri**y in a head-cannon way even though I didn’t believe Gaga did, but last night with the old dancers front and center during that song, it felt like an “Eff you, if you’re watching.” The lyrics, the title, the controversy, and the return of some of the OG dancers. sorry if I’m wrong about literally all of this. NUTELLA 5,643
I think you're giving him too much power, babe. Unless I'm remembering incorrectly, the song is about how she found her own lane/power in a male-dominated industry, and not about any one man in particular. The choreo reflected that, with her being surrounded by all-male dancers. 7
thedirtymonster 680
Why did I think this song was inspired by Michael Jackson? I thought it was an homage to him saying that she's a pop superstar, yes, but every pop star is going to be overshadowed by his immense history and impact.

It sounds like an MJ song, and she does do MJ choreo in the SOAM chorus. Not the Chromatica ball twirl thing, the moves right before that
