“We’re all made of stardust” literally what is she on about  she really just making **** up

No... as noted, it's a close paraphrase of something Carl Sagan liked to say. And what he meant by that was, basically: Every element heavier than hydrogen, helium or lithium, IIRC, is the product of stellar fusion. That first generation of stars eventually exploded, scattering their elements to space. And that matter sometimes came together again to form new stars, and... planets. (To be clear, this process is ongoing. I'm just talking about the heavy elements that we already find outside of stars.)

Earth would not exist without the life and death of those older stars. You and I wouldn't exist. Hence, "we are all made of star-stuff." It's literally true.

Nothing wrong with exploring possibilities.  I’m fascinated by all of the theories myself.

I knew it had some meaning but it still sounds so funny in this context lol

Girl, string "theories" are not even popular these days among physicists. She made an idiot out of herself.

In one thread I said that string theories are Katy Perry of physical models. I love how it came full circle :selena:

String theory at it's simplest is the assertion that every thing with mass

Massless things too (photons, gluons, hypothetical gravitons).
