I mean I course I understand it, I totally get how the ticketing system sucks and the sharp disappointment people feel. I just don’t agree with the degree to which people are criticizing every aspect of this. Suddenly arenas are trash. Gaga is being ripped to shreds. Shes an amazing artist but she’s also a business. I just don't think demand should have been able to drive the prices up that high and Gaga absolutely could have done something to stop that from happening 'cause other artists have. That's why she's personally catching flack.

And her PR team saying she has a "connection with fans" when she didn't protect the fans and a large quantity of tickets are being scalped is almost insulting tbh.

That’s one personals anecdotal experience, and mine and my friends experience was different. You can’t take your one experience and then somehow make the leap that “most of the tickets went to bots” lol.

My delicate, tiny little brain is  conflicted about all this. I managed to get tickets at a good price so I don't know the pain of dynamic pricing or reseller bs. I'm a fan of small shows so instead of complaining about the arena of it all, I'm hoping she does a theatre tour in the future. 

I sympathize with the fans that feel they aren't able to see her, but there are a lot of factors that go into this. There were complaints about her stadium tour because of the sightlines of the stage. If tickets were $40-$100 and they let just the superfans in to buy them, they'd be gone in 5 minutes and every fan who couldn't log on immediately would still have been SOL. Idk. I just don't know what would make everyone happy. 

ANYWAY! Congrats to Gaga for a sold out show and to everyone who got tickets. I hope everyone who wants to see her gets to 💜

Did Beyoncé or Taylor respond to the exact same backlash when people freaked out over their prices and tours selling out? No they did not.  What response would Gaga be expected to make? It’s become the norm that concerts in the last five years have become very expensive and there is always a news cycle about how shocked and disappointed fans are about the prices and inability to get tickets. There’s nothing Gaga can say short of apologizing for dynamic pricing. I doubt her management will let her do that.

I’m not missing the point at all. But it’s crazy self-selective to insist on the smallest sample size that supports your position and then assume everyone should agree. You’re missing my point which is, it’s a weird take to brush off arenas as anything other than an artists  valid preference. And dismissing an arena tour selling out as nothing is definitely a weird take. Billie could absolutely sell out stadiums if she wanted but she doesn’t. And to only compare artists that came out at the same time as Gaga is weirdly reductive too.
