XxBones 1,071
I can see their logic and personally I'd rank them a bit differently, but I don't get how Chromatica ranks higher than ARTPOP.
StrawberryBlond 14,496
They don't even give a properly detailed explanation as to why. To just use vague statements about "some of these songs fall flat" alongside praise is not in line with how you talk of the lowest ranked album. Hopefully, this is a sign that they think all her work is so good that even her worst work is still very good but out of all of them, this was a bizarre choice. TF at #2 is downright ridiculous. Only the people who stopped being fans in 2011 would rank it that high. TF was a good debut but so of its time and so dated and basic by today's standards. They're definitely basing their judgements more on commercial performance than anything else and Joanne is unfortunately Gaga's most forgotten about album, even more than AP, as it only had one hit and it was only a true hit in the US at that, so therefore, it's seen as lesser in their eyes. No surprise her biggest selling albums are at the top.
MACATL 1,160
Fair ranking for now, but I think if Mayhem gains steam in the long run, it could possibly move up.

bim 415
Gaga's albums are all quite beautiful in their own way. Ultimately all music is subjective, and for me, I truly love each album she's created. They all scratch different itches and resonate with me in a fascinating venn diagram of ways. There's such a range of genres and emotions, with so many layers and little details. The one thing no one can deny is that she dedicates all of herself into everything she does, and I can really hear that and feel it in my bones for all of her songs since day one. Whether I'm in the mood to dance or rage or cry or queen out or get swanky or existential or wind down, she's got it all. It's carried me through so much. I don't think I could actually rank her albums. Even the Joker soundtrack has felt like my favorite work of hers at moments, and I'm not saying that sarcastically by any means. Folie a Deux is a stunningly haunting song, and what she does with her voice throughout the album and the character she created around it is wildly fascinating to me. She's a one of a kind artist. I've got nothing but unconditional love and gratitude for her. That being said, I'd like to take a moment to appreciate Joanne. She gave us such a vulnerable piece of herself with this album. It's raw and wounded and from the gut, yet still so tender. Angel Down is an incredibly important song to exist in the world. Just Another Day feels so genuinely Gaga, it's reminiscent of her pre-fame music and part of the roots she dug back into for Mayhem. The backing vocals on Come to Mama alone deserve a Grammy. The piano version of the title track truly winning one speaks for itself on the beauty of that song. It saddens me to think of her being in pain, both physically and emotionally, through this era, or any era. She's been through so much, and that's only knowing what she's actually shared with us, let alone behind the scenes. And like I said earlier on, she still dedicated all of herself into this album, and for that I'll always be grateful. Music is a beautiful thing. I love you, lady. I love you, monsters.

GagaSuperfan1 323
Does this declare Joann her worst or just mean they’re all really that good. my ranking would be based off what I feel like has been culturally and with her fans most significant for her BTW ARTPOP The Fame Monster The Fame Mayhem A Star Is Born Chromatica Joann my two top favorite eras would be Joann & Chromatica, because of the memories and my personal place in time and history during these moments, I adore those albums because of it, and my two favorite albums personally of Gaga’s are Joann and A Star is Born
