Honest thoughts:

The Beast is a bore

Blade of grass is a depressing snooze

Garden of Eden is ruined by childish lyrics

Overall, album is a great representation of 80-90’s messy sound (giving vibes of B-horror films of that time). It’s a fun hot mess. It’s not “Thriller”, but also it’s not trying to be it.

It is somewhat dark, and because of that it won’t be as popular as we hoped and will sadly fade by summer. But hopefully I’m wrong! Production and vision wise, it’s a solid album!

I hope just hope she would do a deluxe and add kill for love & cant stop the high and like 3 unreleased tracks like mustang to a deluxe and put on streaming. how she chose mustang over the beast is beyond me

Brat dominated last summer because charli kept feeding us, bonus tracks etc. she listened to her fans…. It seems like Gaga is really passionate right now like she used to be  i really think she may do it… if shes smart she will

Dramatica

You girls will dig it more in the next couple of months, I remember people complaining that Born This Way lacked a Poker Face and a Bad Romance, but ended up loving it.

This album has all the ingredients we've been craving

The Fame vibes

Shadow of a Man, Zombieboy

The Fame Monster vibes

Abracadabra, Garden of Eden

Born This Way vibes

Disease, Perfect Celebrity, Vanish Into You, How Bad Do U Want Me, Don't Call Tonight, The Beast

I didn't ask for a free ride, I only asked you to show me a real good time.

Garden of Eden literally sounds like a track from The Fame. That’s where the hype comes from.

I can’t remember when was the last time I listened to The Fame, I became a fan later ( ARTPOP era) - so that’s why probably I don’t connect to it

In my opinion Don’t Call Tonight is the only real filler track

I’m sure it’s gonna grow on you at least it did on me. Imo the filler is The beast or BOG if I had to choose

Madonna in comparison put out Ray of Light 2 decades into her career and that was experimental and mature

This. I think Gaga is lacking with direction and conceptuals of her music, She needs to evolve and mature musically and lyrically, in some songs she did it but overall is demode and cursi, example Killah/Perfect Celebrity/LoveDrug/HBDYWM/…basic af.

I feel like Mayhem has some sequencing issues, the second half of the album is pretty hit or miss. With Chromatica, I used to play it straight through, but with this one, I’m a lot more selective about which songs I listen to, especially after Shadow of a Man. I still think it's a great album, but I don’t see myself replaying it a ton like her past albums, maybe just a few songs here and there.

Franch Toast

One of my favorite of her albums, no skips!

Personal favorites: "Vanish into You" (I play this on repeat; I'm obsessed); "Blade of Grass" (love this so much)

HBDYWM has grown on me as well. Like I said however, I love every single track. No filler. I don't have to force myself to try and like this album (like I did with Chromatica, which felt underdeveloped to me). It's all I want to listen to.

This! Mayhem is the first Gaga album where I removed a song (HBDYWM) and I find myself skipping mid song for The Beast, BoD and DWAS. I always considered Gaga an “album artist” where I would listen to the albums from start to finish and it puts me in a certain space/mindset if that makes sense — it feels like Chromatica as an album is a better body of work but Mayhem has some of her best songs (Shadow of a Man and Disease imo).

pieces of eight

Took me a couple of listens to get it. But at this point, it's pretty much a no-skip masterpiece.

If you really push me on it, it probably goes downhill just a bit when you get to The Beast. But 11 straight bangers is a lot for a pop album these days.

I'm really happy with her stepping away from the dark dubstep stuff and going with more consistently organic sounding instruments.

This album is a straight up gift IMO.

GC1234

Her best album since born this way. Even the songs that I didn’t click with on first listen (don’t call tonight & the beast) have grown on me so much. The first nine tracks plus shadow of a man all have single quality. Don’t think I’ve repeated an album so much since ARTPOP!!

Get that fire exit door, I’m off...

To say Perfecr Celebrity of all songs is basic AF is pure blasphemy

Best album since BTW, but that album still has some skips for me. Definitely her best no skip album since TFM.

She needs to evolve and mature musically and lyrically,

Bro, Gaga may not be the most experimental artist out there, but she's delved into so many genres and styles with her own signature flair over the last 2 decades and even on MAYHEM.

Plus she's stated many times now about the pressures to constantly reinvent herself from the music industry.

Mayhem is a love letter to industrial, rock, dark pop, edmic, funk, disco, electro clash, R&B, Salsa etc.

All her favourites.
