Both songs are better live, but the studio version of Killah is better than the studio version of Aura, imo. Sleeker production, lyrics that tell a story and actually make sense, and the breakdown is a genuine jaw dropping moment of production in her discography. I love Aura, but after hearing every alternate take of the track, it’s clear that there was an artistic compromise from the vocal delivery (first verse) and lyrical content (switch from Burqa —> Aura); further, that it’s a reworked instrumental (a fu*cking banger of a rework), ranks it a bit lower than Killah. Aura (demo) takes it to full on delicious agression while Killah is the epitome of edging. Either way I'm eating that sh*t UP and they're top tier Gaga tracks.
