The pink foil on the ARTPOP album cover, various fonts during the era, outfits in GUY video…. The pink Joanne hat…. The pink chromatica hair, album cover, and stupid love kindness punk persona……. Through the pink vibes was she trying to create a softness and playfulness, a projection of bubbly and light feelings, when sometimes inside she had great pain? A mask? Mayhem 🖤 (so far) feels a stark departure from the pink, ….. with black, white, orange and rich maroon palettes coming through….. it’s giving strength, maybe higher authenticity, earthy…. thoughts, little zombieboys 💀? I know Chromatica was stadium settings, but something like that would have slayed us…. And she is implying she have synesthesia too, when she talks about writing Mayhem songs and sees the colors of each songs. So that's probably why there's orange and maroon now.
