Why are Gaga fans allergic to her disco/funk inspired tracks?

I get that music is subjecive, but the way a fair amount of fans are dismissing "Zombieboy", "Killah", "Don't Daft Punk Tonight", like what's going on? These are tight disco inspired bops with a ton of character.

And don't even get me started on "Fashion!" or "Mayhem Illusion" 

I swear, it seems like they only like her disco/funk inspired tracks when they are electronic (or ARTPOP) tinged. 

Maybe she was right to scrap the original LG5 concept, no?

Please define „fair amount of fans“. I personally haven’t seen any sizable group of people not liking them. In fact, this forum was on fire when she performed Killah live. Maybe we shouldn’t start drama where none is

I think there was a little mistake with the marketing prior to the release of the album. Yes, Gaga said this new record had multiple genres on it, but what truly spoke was the music and Disease, Abra and the other snippets (tracklist music, Perfect Celebrity, album trailer (+ visuals as well) made people think the album was all very dark/industrial.

I also was disoriented at first and I didn’t write anything for days on here because I wanted to have a clearer view on the record and change the image I made in my mind about this new music.

Now, after a few listens, I love this record it certainly is something a little different from what we were all probably expecting but it’s just too good. The quality, the production, Gaga’s vocals… a solid and beautiful body of work.

Enigma and Replay remain two of my favorites from Chromatica. The disco songs on The Fame, too. This is for the heavy replayers of her CHIC cover. The funk disco songs on this album are pure nectar. The musicality of them, the groove, the elements, the vocals. She delivered, she devoured and she defibrillated my heart with 1000 volts after I died

ive seen nothing but praise for Zombieboy and Don't Call Tonight

my issue with Killah is the grunge/rock influences on it, i really dont vibe with the last minute of it

but yeah like on here ive seen nothing but praise for all three tracks actually, Zombieboy and Don't Call Tonight more than Killah tho

Think LMs were expecting a non stop rave energy on the record but we ended up with some funk/disco energy in the middle. I personally am not a huge fan of Garden of Eden, Killah and Vanish Into You as much as others but adore Zombieboy and Shadow of a Man quite a bit. I think as fans we are allowed to like some songs more than others and not everyone will love the same thing!

If I had one criticism though, I would say production could be a bit more varied. I feel like Vanish Into You, LoveDrug and Don't Call Tonight all have a very similar sound (and even How Bad Do U Want Me to an extent but thats still a bit more distinct, is closer to The Cure more so than anything else on the album).

But I love that this album really showcases her wide ranging musicianship and there's something in there for all kinds of music fans.
