It was about a song some people have described as a hopeful “bright pop song.” I used AI to confirm my preconceived notions about the song’s lyrics, which are actually dark and haunting. Instead, this thread turned into a shaming for using ChatGPT for some sort of virtue signaling. This doesn’t help your cause. I wasn’t aware of the water consumption and took the time to research it myself. The information appears to come from a story published by The Washington Post, which references a study conducted by UC Riverside. I looked at the UC study myself and found that while water consumption is mentioned, its primary focus is on training AI and data centers. Not to mention that this study has not been peer reviewed. If everyone here is genuinely concerned about the water usage by users, why aren’t you boycotting Google and other companies that also use water for searches done by users and their data centers? I don’t believe the pressure should be on users but on companies, as they are the primary source of water usage. It’s much more significant than what users do, and it’s unfair for many people on here to shame users for water that is insignificant compared to the company’s usage such as the AI training, while they themselves use services that also require water to operate by request.

It's also just kind of a nonsense complaint since water used for cooling servers can be/usually is recycled constantly just like it is at electric plants or other things of that nature it's not just sustainable, it's ridiculously more cost efficient than constantly pulling new water and draining old water. Anyway, you're right Mayhem has some bright and colorful sounds flowing around it but the darker vibes are undeniable. Anyone who can't hear them needs to listen more Billionaires are a cancer. Even the ones you like.
