skaxboy 5,025
“Plastic Doll” is a bop! I also love “Free Woman” studio but demo version is the best. I’m one of the few on here that doesn’t care for “Fun Tonight.” ”How Bad Do You Want Me” is like an unbuttered biscuit to me. I have to listen to the far superior “LoveDrug” first so the taste and seasonings carries over. “The Beast” is for the heaux’s like me
MountainMonster 142
Uh… arguably it’s the opposite. It’s about a conventionally attractive man who wants a conventionally attractive woman who is cheating on “the ideal woman metaphorical woman” with the alternative woman. It’s actually kind of a sad song about a man who is unwilling to actually be with the person he wants to be with because she’s not conventionally hot…. So gonna give you a hard disagree. “The good girl in your dreams Is mad you're lovin' me I know you wish that she was me How bad, bad do you want me? You're not the guy that cheats (The guy that cheats) And you're afraid that she might leave (That she might leave) 'Cause if I get too close, she might scream "How bad, bad do you want me?"” Edited 5 hours ago by MountainMonster 1
TheMontebello 136
I'm shocked people don't like Fashion of His Love. I feel that song in my SOUL when it plays. 1

I think both "girls" in the song are herself. Men often have a hard time understanding that girls can be both sweet and "wife-like", while simultaneously have a wilder, sex-positive aspect to themselves. I see the song as her being frustrated that her man seems to be fixated on her "bad girl" persona, rather than also embracing her softer side, since at the end of the day, she's both of those things. At least that's how I see it. It seems contrived, but I met a lot of guys like that. HEART OF EVER-FROST 1

Interesting, I had the opposite take, that he’s sexually into her and she’s a bad girl, but that the woman of his dreams is sort of this conventional good girl - and he’s at odds with that reality. 1

I thought it was about how she might be insecure that the man is in love with "Gaga", the crazy big personality, and not herself as a person 1

It’s kind of both. Given that I also think she’s both girls in the song, it’s that he can’t embrace reality in the sense that he can’t accept that she can be both the “bad girl” and the “good girl.” We have forgotten our public MANNERS

I dated a guy in an “open relationship” where he felt the need to basically look at both me and his girlfriend (primary partner) as one thing or another (“I’m attracted to her physically, but you intellectually”). Well, except we’re both hot and intelligent 💅. Like, diva, you know that people can be more than one thing, right? (“how bad do u want me for REAL”). TheMontebello 136
The one song I can't stand is Heal Me It really does a god job in portraying Ally as a generic popstar at that point lol
