I see the song as her being frustrated that her man seems to be fixated on her "bad girl" persona, rather than also embracing her softer side, since at the end of the day, she's both of those things. At least that's how I see it. 

It seems contrived, but I met a lot of guys like that. 

It make sense cause the duality between Gaga and Stefani is clearly a main topic of the album. 

Both interpretations are cool.

I knew there was a reason why I can hate Taylor songs but love this one so much!  It's about how young this song makes you feel that gets me. As I was saying recently, it makes me feel like an 80's teenager with frizzy hair and Wham! posters on her walls.

It made me nostalgic for a time period I never lived in. Who knew Gaga could do teen pop? It also reminds me of Carly Rae Jepsen songs (and let's face it, Taylor was really inspired by her from 2012 and onwards). Gaga is transcending age expectations with this album, proving she can still be as hot, messy and crazy as a 21-year-old as she's approaching 40 and settling down. No popstar retirement here!
