They are literally really fun songs wtf, all my friends love ROM. We have this ongoing thing where we always shout ‘rain on me tsunami’ and have fun? Stupid Love is so fun too. Please

they are the literal definition of a fun songs, it doesn't matter what the lyrics mean

the point of chromatica was to make these dark topics fun with a dance beat

Ok but again *topically* they aren’t fun lmao it’s an album of dancing through the pain. That’s my point. It’s fun to dance to! That doesn’t mean that their content is all sun and fun; it’s a sad af album that’s cathartic to dance to bc it makes the stuff fun! That’s what I’m saying

She made them danceable and liberatory but would I put them in the same “fun” category as a song about loving boys in cars and money honey? I'm just gonna pop in to say I don't think I could disagree more with OP's take.

 

The demo production sounds completely unfinished and flat.

 

The album versions are far far far superior sound wise.

 

Now, I could be fine with the tracks being longer. Maybe more songs with a third verse or prechorus and post choruses and bridges.

 

This bloodpop hate boner is becoming neurotic at this point.

Y'all are so insufferable about this. Chromatica was NOT a bad album at all and was getting rave reviews.

Sure, it's not as chaotic as her other albums but tracks like Babylon and Replay EAT some of the songs we got on Mayhem. I feel like most Chromatica haters are just bitter because the pandemic ruined the era and her big comeback to pop. The rest of the haters are just ARTPOP act 2 robots or can't let go of "dark-pop" Gaga.

At the end of the day, a producer can't force decisions onto a big artist and Gaga would have the final say -- if anything could tamper the vision of Chromatica, it would have been label execs or Gaga herself.
