I mean there's no really connection between paparazzi and telephone lyrically or sonically, they are both 2 songs about 2 different topics and one is mid tempo while the other is very dance and energetic.. it's just the music videos that are connected.

Another song with a telephone theme would be too obvious. As others mentioned whichever song is selected (not likely from Mayhem) may not have any connection lyrically with Telephone. It could literally be any song, all down to the MV

I always thought about "Telephone pt 2" as the continuation of the music video, not the continuation of the song.

And although Gaga said it will come I think she just said what fans wanted to hear, because it's been 15 years since Telephone music video was released
