Guille 1,157
Hello everybody So far we have gotten Disease and Abracadabra which are really dark, industrial and hard-sounding pop anthems which, from what we have heard so far, seem to be really contrary to the bubblegum-ish pop sounding of Garden of Eden or Zombieboy (snippets obv) So, how are you feeling about this? Do you think the album will lean towards The Fame sound or a darker The Fame Monster pop? Do you think it will be a balanced mix, or a full eclectic list of genres? For me, I am most excited about the dark and hard Gaga signature pop (no one can do it like her), but I am beginning to think the album will not be that much of it, still excited tho for all the tracks

abracadapra 23
Lowkey, if we get a Teenage Dream situation, in the Gaga sense, I would not mind at all. Having the hard hitting songs like Disease (Teenage Dream) then Abracadabra (maybe LFN or Firework ), then Garden Of Eden (Peacock) to a bunch of random sounds we don't expect like Perfect Celebrities being like Who Am I Living For? and Vanish Into You potentially being like Pearl, I think it could be a vibe!
chu95ck 365
she's already stated the album is chaos (hence the title lmao) so it won't lean towards any genre. member what she said a few months ago "when you press play, after the first few songs, you think you know what you're getting into, but then, you don’t." I personally prefer the dark pop so i hope we get more tracks like disease and abra Edited March 5 by chu95ck ⚔️battle for your life ⚔️
Starmie25 18,776
I love her harder, dark sounding tracks, but she has PLENTY of those in her catalogue already, so I'm glad to hear we'll be having a variety of different sonics, including the industrial dark sound. 1
Stephen 30,423
She said a few times already the album has many genres. For some reason LMs won't believe her until they listen themselves I guess 3

REALITY 76,602
I've been saying for months now that MAYHEM is going to be a divisive album because like half the fandom is expecting all dark pop songs and they'll be sorely disappointed when the album isn't that Disease and Abra are fantastic, but Zombieboy and GoE also sound incredible. I'm here for both, and whatever else she has on the album. I need y'all to understand that going into the album expecting all the songs to be dark and gritty is the wrong mindset. She's said multiple times that there are many different genres and styles on the album. Don't complain on Thursday night when you get through it and you're like "It's not dark enough! Where's all the dark industrial/techno stuff?!". It's called MAYHEM for a reason 𝔊𝔬𝔬𝔡𝔟𝔶𝔢, ℑ'𝔩𝔩 𝔰𝔢𝔢 𝔶𝔬𝔲 𝔦𝔫 𝔪𝔶 𝔡𝔯𝔢𝔞𝔪𝔰
River 116,826
GoE is literally about Lilith so it is dark in some sense. but dark can be colorful too and from what we heard so far from GoE, it's gonna challenge it and challenge the fans. For example, DITD is a pretty dark song, but I always imagine it in green color rather than black. SHICD is also a dark melancholic song, but it's very bubbly and very pink. So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
AVeryGagaHolyDick 25,475
Abra and Eden sound quite similar to me in terms of style (from what we’ve heard of the latter), I wouldn’t put them in different categories
Oriane 21,069
Honestly I don't care about the general mood but I need something more experimental than what I've heard so far. TheOriginalOne 10,745
Maybe now her dream will come true. And Dark Pop and Bubblegum Pop can belong too. 1

Tbh, both chromatica and mayhem seems to draw HUGE inspiration from the past music eras and genres. So I think this is a valid opinion/feeling. Kinda biased tho, as I feel the same way. I can’t say anything 100% now as I haven’t heard the album but I hope mayhem (even with alot of nostalgic sounds and inspiration) or another album in the future pushes a new sound that feels ”fresh”. Mayhem may seem fresh but I think it will be familiar in terms of genres bending, so maybe not a ” totally” new sound. I loved Abra and Disease both equally in production and music/instrumentally. The lyrics are what I am questioning the most and are on edge for this album… LG8 out soon
