standard would be better without the 2015 instagram filter -  if it was more black than grey and looked more like a black metal album cover (would fit album’s name perfectly)

Alternative is my fav, it’s the most striking one, gagged me instantly

I must admit some of these pictures were not cover worthy, I’m not a huge fan of this art direction. Indie exclusive is the worst offender.

I will be brutally honest, the variants and standard are not it

For me it feels like they just tried to come up with what the aesthetic would be, like being still in process and the discovering . While the above and that photoshoot feels thoughtout and more cohesive. 

 

Although, from the Variants the yellow disk one is great, and fits the most I guess.

I love the white one, my fave i think but the cropped pic with the black hair makes me annoyed lol. Would be cooler if it was as just the white dress and maybe just two arms. 
 

the blue disk is ok, gives me 2014-2017 minimalism with BTW/Countess nod. She still shines even if she feels like she is surrounded by the dark.

AESTHETIC AND VISUALS COMES SECONDARY. IT’S THE MUSIC THAT COUNTS. Visual and art is just a plus, even if it has been deeply integrated  with music and the industry .

Exactly this. She could’ve had used a black background with MAYHEM orange letters on it like the banner here and I’d be okay with it as long as the music is great.

I think my fave is the Gaga webstore exclusive cover. Might change later when I have them all in person.

I also really like the image of the "alt. jacket" from the Japanese edition.

Does anyone know if this is a real "Jacket" or sleeve ? or just a print that you can slide over the actual cover in a plastic sleeve ? 

 

They also use that image for the UK exclusive cassettes so it is technically cover art

to be honest the main one (standard) is THE MOST UGLIEST in all the variants album covers, it just feels random and unofficial. i dont like the filter and kinda looks like its zoom in the face from the original photo.
