The idea of getting these three on to perform a song not from a movie was weird enough but bringing them on not to sing their collab song but Bond songs respectively as part of a tribute for no reason was even weirder. Not gonna lie, I'd be so annoyed if I was any of them, getting my one big chance for major promo of our new song being thrown away. Would've personally told the academy where they could stick it if they suggested something so preposterous. It's not like any of them are going to get into acting, so they have nothing to lose by doing so.

I can't say the same for Margaret, though. I still think it's so disrespectful for them to invite her to senselessly just dance and nothing else when they couldn't even nominate her for best supporting actress when most other academies did. Guess they see it as a consolation prize. Even though they're essentially telling her she's a better dancer than an actress by doing this. And she's likely just sucking up this mind game because if she plays along, she'll be more likely to win an Oscar later down the line if she does what she's told. But I can't say I blame her. I've learned over time that this is just how these big ceremonies operate - treat deserving talent badly and make them work hard for a trophy that they will end up winning far too late. Do as you're told and get glory one day, basically. I don't support the academy at all but we can't deny winning their awards is one of life's biggest flexes. So, I say, play the game until you get what you want out of them. If they snub you, still accept the opportunity to present an award or perform a tribute or present the ceremony and do it all with a smile on your face and they'll appreciate your subservience and reward you one day. If they want to use you, use them right back. I hope an academy member reads us so we can see we're onto them.
