THIS, arianas performance as glinda carried that movie 

cynthias done a much better job in other projects shes been in, but other than her singing defying gravity, her performance was very lacklustre IMO. i didnt feel truly connected to her portrayal till the very end. ariana stole every scene she was part of.

both of them can sing, so if you exclude the musical numbers, Cynthia was just appropriate. Ariana had me hollering and she stood out more with the actual acting parts that did not rely heavily on her vocal skills
