What what the beef between Gaga and Justin Tranter?

Justin Tranter and Gaga were friends for over a decade. Gaga gave his band the opportunity to open the Monster Ball Tour.

A few years later, he attended Gaga's 30th Birthday Party which was a very exclusive event with only a few select celebrities, e.g. Taylor Swift, Lorde etc.

Later in 2019, Bloodpop 'reconnected' them both and gave Tanter the opportunity to contribute to the songwriting on 2 Chromatica tracks: "Alice" and "911", which Tranter has royalty credits for to this date.

However, in 2023, Justin Tranter turned against Gaga in a bunch of rage comments on one of her Instagram posts.

It angers me that Bloodpop let him write on Chromatica, and once he got his royalties, he slagged Gaga off.

I love that he'll use Gaga's name is every single interview he gives but at the earliest opportunity, he will write hateful comments on her social media

We only think that's the reason because it's what he complained about (but it was more him adding to existing fuel to make people hate her) a Friend would call and be like "bitch, what?" Not trash your name on insta, so she already ended the friendship by then

we don't know the reason but I imagine a similar thing to perez, he showed his true colours so she dropped off - he knows she wouldn't trash him to the public so she can get away with saying anything 🙃

I still remember how he literally ran away from me when I asked him for an autograph at the monster ball. Teenage me was sooo distraught I felt so rejected and it honestly hurt so much. Ever since then I’ve always found him to be an ass. Not surprised he turned against Gaga in the end. He’s a literal mean gay. Like he literally saw me ask for an autograph and ran away from me into the control audio booth near Ga. This was in Atlantic City NJ.

I think it was something totally unrelated to Pride Month or Nurtec but he saw everyone was criticizing her for that already. Maybe she didn’t want to work with him again and he took it badly.

I don't think there's any beef on her side. I think Justin is just...an a-hole and saw the public was dragging Gaga at the time so he decided to jump on in.

Let's be real-a handful of people on here were acting like Gaga was a Trump supporter because she didn't immediately post something for Gay pride, either, even though she later made some thoughtful comments on social media and has reaffirmed her believe in trans rights in multiple places (most recently at the Grammys).

I do find it a bit funny, because Justin has worked with many, many artists (some of them v. problematic), but Gaga's the one he decided to "call out" for-in his mind-not talking enough about LGBTQ causes. It was honestly pretty hypocritical of him.

Edit: I do believe some music people jumped in-not fans-and basically told Justin to get off the drugs and that he was acting absurd, so I suspect the rant was fueled by drugs, too.

The thing was Justin is he's worked with so many artists-some of them quite problematic-so for him to get up in his feels that much about the Nutrec ad and "not saying enough about gay rights" (even though she later made multiple thoughtful comments & has reaffirmed her support in public many times)....was a choice.
