i guess profit is a thing but i think that's slightly unfair, we know she struggles with long tours and for all of us to have a chance of seeing her on an arena tour she'd literally have to do 5 dates for each venue

and i guess id rather go to a stadium then have my date cancelled like the JWT

Well, I didn't mean it as an attack  

But it is true. You can pack 50,000+ people in a stadium vs 15,000-20,000 in an arena. Twice the profit at least, if not 3x or more, for the same amount of effort on the performers' end.

There were 834,000 tickets sold over 20 Chromatica Ball dates.

Compare that to 920,000 tickets sold over 74 artRAVE dates.

The tour was more than three times as long for only ~9% more tickets sales.

Between that and the risk of her cancelling her third tour due to health reasons I'm sure she has a lot of label pressure to maximize attendance and sales over a drawn out tour.

It makes sense but it still makes me mad and I want another arena tour 'cause as a fan, the stadium experience isn't worth modern ticket prices  

It's not just the view either, the shows themselves are better produced. The Monster Ball's angler fish, the BTWB's castle, the insane light show at the artRAVE, the floating catwalks at the JWT, you can't get that in a stadium! Just...some catwalks and a small stage in the middle of the GA crowd

I think it'd be so interesting to see an artist do a real 360 stage that spans the entire floor. You'd lose some seats to the stage, but you could essentially charge the same rate for all of the 200s bowl, then same rate across all of the 300s bowl, all of the floor because the artist would occupy equal amounts of time in all areas. And you could reclaim the 15% of seats normally behind the stage too.

If the production were right then that'd absolutely kill but I don't think Gaga would ever do this. Especially not after she basically flat out said she's going minimalist with her stages from now on
